Scott Seekings and his mother Pauline run their amazingly abundant self-service fruit and vegetable stall. The stall offers a wide variety of very fresh produce and has an emphasis on being environmentally friendly. They focus on local, seasonal produce, including generous bunches of fresh herbs. They source directly from local growers for maximum freshness. They also have more exotic items: a good range of Thai, Indian, Asian and Caribbean produce. Some favourites are papaya, kohlrabi, artichokes, fresh turmeric, several kinds of aubergine, 15 varieties of tomato, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries…and much more!
A lot of their foreign produce travels in spare hold capacity on commercial flights, so is not as such clocking up extra air miles. They recycle all their packaging and encourage customers to bring their own bags.
